Property developers, manufacturers of building materials and finished products from the provinces of Algiers, Setif, Jijel, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Tipaza, Batna and Bejaia, as well as financial and insurance organisations, are gathering this week for this trade fair, which is being held in the car park of the Wilaya Sports Park Office (OPOW).
“This event, which runs until 17 June, aims to ‘forge links between the various stakeholders in the housing and construction sectors’,” said Lakhdari Chanez, a representative of the agency organising the trade fair in partnership with the Algerian Confederation of Employers (CAP).
She emphasised that this major economic event also provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaborative ties between professionals, discover the latest innovations in the sector and promote local produce.
The programme also includes the organisation of meetings bringing together institutions, experts and professionals to discuss a range of topics, including new regulations governing the sector, the fight against money laundering, the formalisation of financial transactions and new financial requirements, it was noted.
The discussions will also focus on the role of estate agents in shaping the market, investment and development prospects, as well as the quality of construction and developments in the building trades, it was added.
